  1. Hello Everyone,

    Long time no "see".

Mike Moon has told me there's a number of problems with the plugins with the newer versions of WordPress.

    I'm going to fix them.

Please post bug reports here. (Also, if there's other threads with bug reports in them, please post links to them here too.)

    Thanks.

  2. welcome back. i think most bugs come from videopress plugins just needing to be updated to newer versions of wordpress.

ryanne and i havent updated Ryanishungry in 3 generations because we didnt want the plugins to break. we could just update and see what doesnt work!

  3. As Jay mentioned, there are no specific error messages, yet pages stop loading when it hits the plugins in either page or widget.
I have setup the Visual Archive page (VisArchive) on my site as an example.

With that said... I've seen a few sites that are running the pluggins with much later versions of WordPress. It's my 'guess' that it has to do with database changes with WordPress version changes.

If complete access to a site would assist, I can set you up an account. Let me know.

  4. Ryanne and I could just update our site and see what breaks. We haven't updated Wordpress since the spring.

Problem is...a lot of people stopped using Videopress plugins because they weren't working over the summer and fall.

Don't update yet. (I don't want you to break your guys' site if you don't have to.)

Let me see if I can fix things first without it.

  6. We appreciate. I personally don't have any specific bug reports for Videopress unless we are to upgrade...so hopefully Mike and others are feeding you things to fix.

We do have the group's notes from the Spring/Summer here that would be good to browse:

Just shout if you need more feedback, testing.
    Thanks again as always.

  7. Hello Charles, I found that with the latest vPiP and Wordpress my vPiP feeds were broken, as per this thread:

    http://showinabox.tv/forum/topic.php?id=124

For the moment I have cut over to the default WordPress feed and am adding enclosures manually to my posts.

  9. I have been doing a lot of playing around lately and have discovered a few things...let me get a list together and I will add it here....

    Thanks Charles...

  10. I don't have a list of "bugs" per say but I do have some requests....and I would be willing to donate some money to help out for your time if you would be willing to consider these requests.

    1) The related posts plugin, if it could have the option to select related posts by tags or catogories, that way we would not have to always manual add the videos that I think would be useful.

    2) on the recent videos plugin, let's say I select 5 for the number of video's I want to display. If I change my blog setting to anything under 5, like 3. The plugin will only show the 3 posts. If the plugin could display the number of posts independent of what you have your blog set to, that would be nice as well.

    3) If we could have the option on how the video archive page looks, like having a grid format with just thumbnails, I think that way you could show more on the page and it would be more "video" centric

Thank you for your time and consideration

  11. Along with Heath's #3, I'm still hoping for all the plugins to have any tables removed from the way they render out the videos and go with an unordered list instead. True that would give everyone a result that needs visual cleanup, but it would mean anyone could add CSS to their theme and control the exact layout of the plugin output. That's a feature request, though, not a bug.

Jay's links to our lists from last spring are pretty much the source where we collected known bugs.
