How to Embed iPhone-Compatible Videos from allows its users to create a custom show player for embedding an iPhone-compatible video into their site. This screencast by Justin Day from explains how to set up the player and how to get the correct embed code once you have the player set up. You can see it in action on your iPhone here.

Heath recently started a discussion in our forums on whether we really need to publish multiple video formats now that Flash can play mp4 files. Several people are thinking along the same lines, and some have dropped the vPIP plugin in favor of the Show Player. Right on cue, announced that you can now create a Show Player that will work on the iPhone. And Mashable reports this means ads will now be viewable on the iPhone, which expands producers’ revenue opportunities. We’ve got the how-to for you right here.


Lo-Fi St. Louis

The focus of Lo-Fi St. Louis is not just music but art and culture and other forms of weird or unusual entertainment and the people that make St. Louis an interesting place to live. I’m of the opinion that every place has an interesting story and unique culture and it’s up to us to make these things that are unique and valuable known and available to the rest of the world to enjoy. I’ve gotten some great feedback on this project and it’s encouraged me to develop it further. So I guess I must be doing something right.
