Hollow Bone Films is a film company based in South Dakota. Milt Lee produces documentaries that explore the rhythms of life – through the stories of everyday people. Lots of times these folks live on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, but more and more, we are moving into the crazy world of education, and finding the rhythm of learning.
This site was designed and created by Milt and fellow videoblogger Eric Lorentz using WordPress and Show In A Box tools. My idea here was to present a video gallery – based on the WP blog. I don’t really like the linear nature of blogs so my thought was on the right side to create a plugin (actually a modification of Recent Videos that would post by Category rather than by Date.) So I could always have some of my favorite videos right up front, and then the rest would update as I add more videos. The tooltip – which works better in Firefox than Internet Explorer was designed to let people know what each video was about.
On the left side is a little box ( Speak, Dog, speak) where I can put any text that I don’t want to lose – just because I posted a new video. It stays in place until I decide to change it – just a little note pad area. I also eliminated the full width header because it eats so much real estate. So you have a small picture with the blog title in the upper left corner.
Milt’s Tools include a DVX100B MiniDV camera, a Xacti E1 camera, some Sennheiser mics including a couple of lav’s and a MKH50, Sony VEGAS and WordPress with Show in a Box plug-ins.
